MELFORT, Sask. — Saskatchewan RCMP are investigating a fire that destroyed 100 flax bales.

Police said the bales were in a field just north of Kayville.

The bales burned between Dec. 10 to 16.

Coronach-Bengough RCMP said the fire is considered suspicious and are asking anyone with information to come forward.

The investigation is continuing into a train derailment near Craven, Sask.

On Tuesday evening a CP Rail train carrying potash left the tracks and blocked Highway 20.

CP Rail immediately dispatched crews and cleaned up the site continues.

There were no injuries reported.
