Saskatchewan Pulse Growers announce results of board of directors election

Dec 1, 2025 | 5:07 PM

Voting closed on Nov. 28 for the election of the Saskatchewan Pulse Growers (SPG) Board of Directors.

The election brings one new director to the board while retaining two directors for another term. Joining the SPG board is Dan Flynn of Lucky Lake. Coming back to the board are Robyn Henry of Hodgeville and Stuart Lawrence of Rosetown, who were both re-elected.

SPG Chair Winston van Staveren congratulated the successful candidates.

“Each elected member brings valuable experience, expertise, and diverse perspectives that represent a wide range of growing regions across the province.” he said. “I also want to thank all the candidates who put their names forward. The increased level of engagement and strong slate of candidates this year was positive to see.”

Van Staveren also acknowledged outgoing board member Brad Blackwell, who will term out in January after serving three terms.

“Brad served as SPG’s board chair and was a member of the Pulse Canada and Grain Growers of Canada Boards during his tenure. His contributions to the pulse industry and Saskatchewan’s pulse growers have been invaluable, and we are deeply grateful for his dedication and leadership,” van Staveren said.

The election saw 1,662 votes cast across 671 ballots, with nearly all votes submitted through the online voting platform.

Final results are:

  • Robyn Henry: 571
  • Stuart Lawrence: 506
  • Daniel Flynn: 338
  • Brennen Luck: 247

SPG’s AGM will take place on Jan.13 as part of the Saskatchewan Crops Forum. Registration is now open for all crop commission AGMs. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Visit saskcrops2026.rsvpify.com.
