LISTEN: Safe rates for seed-placed fertilizer

With large fluctuations in fertilizer prices, some producers will opt to band some of their fertilizer in the fall and some in the spring to reduce the risk of paying the highest price for fertilizer.

Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture Crops Extension Specialist Kim Stonehouse said producers need to be cautious when applying fertilizer near the seed and in low moisture conditions.
