Farm leaders are hoping the federal government will give speedy approval to the new Canada-U.S.-Mexico trade deal.
The Trudeau government has introduced legislation for the new North American free trade pact while the opposition is making no guarantees of passing the trade legislation quickly.
Saskatchewan agriculture minister David Marit said he wants to see quick approval of the trade agreement.
Agriculture Producers Association of Saskatchewan President Todd Lewis said he hopes the opposition in Ottawa doesn’t needlessly delay passage.
