New antimicrobials rules for producers discussed at Northern Beef Conference

The federal government is introducing new rules around the use of antibiotics for livestock, meaning some drugs previously available over the counter at farm supply stores will only be available through a prescription from a veterinarian.

Grazing deal makes grass greener for Saskatchewan ranchers, threatened birds

REGINA - Some Saskatchewan cattle ranchers are joining Parks Canada in a deal aimed at helping threatened species such as the greater sage grouse.

Parks Canada says under the deal ranchers can graze their cattle in parts of Grasslands National Park with an eye on conservation.
