MELFORT, Sask. — After a successful year and record growth, the Brandt Group of Companies will add to its workforce this year.

Brandt CEO Shaun Semple said 2021 was a record year for the company even with the numerous market challenges.

“Our employees rose to the occasion and drove our company to new heights,” Semple said. “This success has created many more opportunities, resulting in another 1,500 new positions being created across Brandt in 2022.”

Brandt’s employment levels could reach over 6,600 by the end of the year on projected growth of 100 per cent in two years.

These additional staffing gains will be spread across the company’s operations in Canada, the USA, Australia, and New Zealand.

About half of the new positions will be in the company’s Brandt Tractor locations across Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Another 40 per cent will be in manufacturing in Regina, Saskatoon and Illinois, and the remainder will be in corporate support roles in the company’s Regina locations.

Semple said Brandt has opportunities for skilled tradespeople such as welders, assemblers, painters, machine operators. The company is also searching for business professionals and new graduates.

“With the addition of our large new training center in Regina, we can offer motivated individuals the training they need to build a dynamic career here at Brandt,” Semple said.

Brandt is hosting career fairs across Canada and the U.S. in support of their hiring efforts. The next event is being held in Saskatoon on Feb. 17. Anyone interested can attend the events and bring a resume and references.
