Premier praises outdoor farm show

Jul 16, 2019 | 4:54 PM

Saskatchewan’s premier visited Ag in Motion (AIM) today and watched a demonstration of driverless farm equipment.

Scott Moe said AIM showcases advancements in agriculture.

“It’s great how they’re able to show everything agriculture in this province,” Moe said. “Different seed plots, different fertility plots, all sorts of machinery, grain storage facilities and options that we have here in the province and this industry. Very, very cutting edge.”

Visitors to AIM have travelled from across Canada, the United States and Europe.

“The ability to show what we’re doing in Western Canadian agriculture, how we are leading the world in producing more food sustainably and of the highest quality,” Moe said. “It’s important to have that engagement as well with other people across the nation and but also with people around the world.”

Numerous Saskatchewan products are featured at this event. Moe said Saskatchewan ingenuity is front and centre.

“Anyone that is interested in sustainable agriculture should visit this show as we are showcasing what Saskatchewan has to offer not only in our industry but in the products we export around the world,” Moe said.

The show, located northwest of Saskatoon near Langham, runs through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day.
