Open Farm Days gives a closer look at agriculture in Saskatchewan
Have you ever wondered how your food gets from the pasture to the plate? If you’re a farmer, are you curious how other similar producers run their operations?
These questions and others can be answered at Saskatchewan Open Farm Days, taking place this summer on Aug. 8 and 9.
Ashley Stone is the coordinator for Saskatchewan Open Farm Days with Farm and Food Care Saskatchewan – the host organization.
“This is actually the third annual, and it’s essentially a giant open house of agriculture and food experiences across the province,” Stone said. “If you’ve ever wanted to go and experience what a farm is like or culinary experiences like breweries giving you access to go and check those out with a very low price point as all host locations have something free for you to go and experience, which is the fun of it.”
