Election priorities of Saskatchewan Agriculture

Wheat Growers collect and compile Saskatchewan political parties agriculture policy

Oct 21, 2024 | 3:09 PM

Agriculture is one of the main drivers of Saskatchewan’s economy.

That’s why the Wheat Growers Association wanted to collect the opinions of the province’s political parties on topics of interest to grain farmers.

The Wheat Growers send a list of questions to each party on Oct. 7 and responses were received from the Saskatchewan Party, Saskatchewan New Democrats, Buffalo Party of Saskatchewan and Saskatchewan Progress Party.

Each party was asked what their top priorities would be for farmers and the agriculture industry in Saskatchewan.

Other questions posed to each party focused on trade, grain transportation, the introduction of new technologies, carbon pricing systems, Business Risk Management (BRM) programs, and high-speed broadband.

The responses from each party can be found here.
