Farm Management Canada report promotes national risk management strategy
Farm Management Canada has released a new report that is promoting a national strategy for education and communication on agricultural risk management.
They are calling for a coordinated approach to help producers and service providers better understand, navigate, and apply the full range of programs, tools, and practices to manage agricultural risk.
The report suggested that there are gaps in education, communication, and coordination of existing risk management programs and support mechanisms.
It stated that producers and service providers do not consistently have the confidence, clarity, or support needed to integrate comprehensive risk management into day-to-day decision-making.
