Agri-Business education scholarships

Jun 16, 2026 | 12:17 PM

Seven students from across Canada are receiving support for their post-secondary education.

The 2026 recipients of the Canadian Agri-Business Education Foundation (CABEF) scholarships are from across Canada.

Each will receive a $2,500 scholarship to support post-secondary studies in agriculture or agri-food at a Canadian university, college, or technical institute.

“We continue to be inspired by the passion, leadership, and commitment these students demonstrate toward the future of Canadian agriculture,” says Michelle Bertholet, Chair of CABEF. “This year’s recipients represent the innovation, resilience, and forward-thinking mindset that will help shape and strengthen Canada’s agri-food industry for years to come.”

This year’s Western Canada recipients are:

• Max Burris, Gunn, AB

• Victoria Pitsiaeli, Port Coquitlam, BC

• Tyson Griffin, Darlingford, MB

• Gabriella Vecchio, Bjorkdale, SK

Applicants were evaluated based on their leadership experience and their written or video response identifying an emerging issue impacting Canada’s agriculture and food industry and explaining how young leaders can help address the challenge or opportunity.
