Grain license changes

Grain commission make changes to grain company licences

Jan 5, 2026 | 4:12 PM

The Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) has made four changes to grain company licenses.

CGC said the license for a Saskatchewan grain company is no longer in effect. Sask Valley Processors is no longer licensed, and if the company owes farmers for grain deliveries, they should contact the commissions’ compliance team immediately.

For anyone that does business with the company on or after Jan. 1, they will not be protected by security under the Canada Grain Act.

Sask Valley Processors, located at Loreburn, is a grain processing facility that specializes in seed cleaning, dehulling, splitting, protein extraction, oil extraction, as well as packaging, bottling, and direct container loading.

The other changes from CGC include a primary elevator license that has been issued to Direct Grain Limited at Dixon, Sask. A grain dealer license and a primary elevator license have been issued to Westlock Terminals at Westlock, Alta.

All license changes are effective Jan. 1, 2026.

More information on changes to grain company licences can be found on the Canadian Grain Commission website.
