Livestock producers asked to comment on forage insurance

The Saskatchewan Stock Growers Association (SSGA) wants to hear what livestock producers think of the current suite of forage insurance programs.
SSGA will be providing recommendations to the Forage Insurance Working Group and the survey will be used to help provide direction for future policy and programming decisions.
Some of the survey questions deal with the level of enrolment in current forage insurance products like forage rainfall, corn heat, forage establishment or tame hay; how producers manage drought; how often over the past 10 years they have experienced drought; and where their operation is located.
The survey also asks for the reasons why producers have not used the program.
