Sep 8, 2021 | 3:37 PM

MELFORT, Sask. — Three nominees have been acclaimed to the Saskatchewan Pulse Growers’ (SPG) board following the closing of the nominations.

Mario Gaudet of Melville will join the board of directors in January. Trent Richards of Assiniboia will continue into his third term, and Shaun Dyrland of Kyle will begin his second term.

SPG had called for nominations for three positions and received three nominations so all candidates will be acclaimed.

The new director terms will begin following the pulse grower virtual annual general meeting on Jan. 10.

Three positions with the Saskatchewan Barley Development Commission (SaskBarley) have also been filled by acclamation.

As of January 2022, the new directors will be Zenneth Faye of Foam Lake, Cody Glenn of Climax, and Maurice Berry of Carievale.

The nomination period for these positions closed last Friday.

The new directors will join current board members Matt Enns of Rosthern, Keith Rueve of Muenster, and Glenn Wright of Vanscoy.
