Saskatchewan livestock producers could benefit from Ottawa’s expanded Emergency Business Account program.
Saskatchewan Cattlemen’s Association (SCA) chair Arnold Balicki said the interest free loan will enable producers to delay selling their livestock until prices show improvement.
He said prices usually drop during the busy fall calf marketing period.
Also, SCA holds a virtual fall meeting today at 1 p.m. to discuss several issues, including farm business risk programs, irrigation, livestock research and the Western Livestock Price Insurance Program.
