Agriculture Roundup for Monday January 20, 2020
The house leader for the federal Conservatives said the Liberal cabinet should be listening to agriculture groups during their meetings in Winnipeg this week.
Candice Bergen said instead of meeting behind closed doors for three days, cabinet members should listen to groups like Keystone Agriculture Producers and the Wheat Growers of Canada to understand the impact of the carbon tax.
Bergen said they should also update canola producers on market access in China and should provide municipalities with clear timelines on when funding for key infrastructure projects will be available.
