The carbon tax and a rebate for farm fuel was debated in the legislature.

The NDP accused the provincial government of providing limited support for a carbon tax rebate on grain drying.

Premier Scott Moe disagreed saying they were the party that said repeatedly it was a damaging tax.

Moe said he raised the issue with the prime minister earlier this month and again this week when the deputy prime minister visited Regina.

Canadian Western Agribition (CWA) will make a funding announcement in support of the Livestock and Forage Centre of Excellence (LFCE).

The funding partnership will support the annual field day at the new research facility in Clavet.

The research facility, located southeast of Saskatoon, is a partnership between the University of Saskatchewan, the governments of Canada and Saskatchewan, and the Canadian and Saskatchewan forage and livestock sectors.

Canadian Western Agribition is going to the dogs today.

The International Stock Dog Championship Trials start this morning at the Brandt Centre with the finals this afternoon.

The Chevrolet GMC Arena will features shows for Black Angus, Limousin and Red Angus.

The Maine Anjou Open, the Gelbvieh Sweetheart Parade and Donation Heifer Sale, Shorthorn sale, Charolais sale, Limousin sale, and Polled and Horned Hereford sale with be featured at the John Deere sales arena.

Tonight’s Maple Leaf Finals Rodeo will be extra special with Amber Marshall from the TV show Heartland on hand to sign autographs.
