Snowmobilers are being asked to stay off fields and avoid damaging unharvested crops.

The Saskatchewan Snowmobile Association said it’s working with Farm Credit Canada and Saskatchewan Crop Insurance to create signs that farmers can post to warn snowmobilers they’re entering a field with crop still on the ground.

The association said if sledders have any doubts about where to go, they should simply stick to trails and stay off agricultural land.

Farmers can get the signs by contacting the FCC or Saskatchewan Crop Insurance.

The province has entered into an agreement with a global affairs firm in an effort to increase international trade.

Lead Stephen J.Harper said Saskatchewan is a world class exporter and a powerhouse, but in an era of unprecedented uncertainty and disruption, governments everywhere must be focused on global competitiveness.

Premier Moe released the province’s Growth Plan which lists 30 goals for 2030, including growing agri-food exports to $20 billion.
