The southern part of Saskatchewan significant snowfall over the weekend with central Saskatchewan receiving snow this morning.

The commodity markets are reacting to the tough harvest weather.

In his daily report, Exceed Grain Marketing senior analyst Wayne Palmer indicated canola was trading up $2 a metric tonne due to the deplorable harvest weather.

There have been five days where there was rain and or snow in Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Alberta.

Palmer said there is still over 50 per cent of the wheat crop yet to be harvested and 30 per cent of the canola crop is still in the field.

He said the only reason canola is not trading up $5 to $10 higher is because of the $4 million metric tonne carry over that resulted from China refusing to buy Canadian product.
