Bibeau sends letter to Chinese counterpart
Canada has sent a formal request to China to allow a delegation of experts to travel to the country to discuss the canola trade dispute.
Federal Agriculture Minister Marie-Claude Bibeau said she sent a letter to her Chinese counterpart. The delegation would be led by the president of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), along with her team of plant health experts, and the support of technical experts from the Prairie provinces.
Bibeau made the announcement during a press conference today with International Trade Minister Jim Carr in the foyer of the House of Commons.
