Traceability and transport among juicy topics this week at national beef conference
Beef industry leaders from across the country have assembled in London, Ont. this week for the third annual Canadian Beef Industry Conference.
Among the many topics to be covered at the four-day conference are advances in animal breeding, pasture management, and ways to help drive beef demand. Ryder Lee, Chief Executive Officer of the Saskatchewan Cattlemen’s Association, will be at the conference and told farmnewsNOW he looks forward to talking with his provincial counterparts.
“Some of it is hearing what they are working on and what we can work on nationally but also stealing each other’s ideas and bringing them home,” he said.
Lee said there will be a lot to take in over the course of the four days, but added he expects common interest around a couple of federal topics.
