Dec 4, 2018 | 1:32 PM

An agriculture organization that supports the under 40 demographic is planning its annual meeting.

Saskatchewan Young Ag Entrepreneurs (SYA) presents the Proudly Ag Conference Jan. 9 and 10, 2019 in Saskatoon.

SYA General Manager Carla Borsa said the group is a non-profit membership based organization for young farmers and industry professionals.

“We provide networking and educational opportunities for the under 40 generation of the agriculture industry,” she said.

The conference features a combination of workshops and speakers.

“Our keynote speaker is Brad Wall. He will be speaking on modern agriculture and western Canadian economic foundations as well as some of the threats and opportunities,” Borsa said. “We also have Lesley and Mat Kelly. They’ll be talking about breaking barriers in agriculture. They’ll be doing a fireside conversation about mental health.”

AGT Food and Ingredients President and CEO, Murad Al-Katib, will discuss entrepreneurship and innovation.
