Support program changes to assist Saskatchewan producers impacted by flooding
Excess moisture and flooding created challenging conditions for many Saskatchewan producers early in the growing season.
As a result of those difficulties, the federal and Saskatchewan governments announced changes to the 2026 AgriStability Program to support producers impacted by wet conditions.
Late participation for the 2026 Program year is now available for Saskatchewan producers who did not enroll by the Apr. 30 deadline. They can still participate in the program with a reduced benefit. The one condition is those producers must join by Oct. 1.
Also, the interim payment rate for Saskatchewan producers is increasing from 50 per cent to 75 per cent of the estimated final benefit.
