Saskatchewan farmer appointed to the Senate
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced the appointment of three new independent senators last week, and among them is Todd Lewis from Saskatchewan.
Lewis is a fourth-generation farmer from Gray, Sask. near Regina.
Lewis is a past president of the Agricultural Producers Association of Saskatchewan (APAS). In addition to his work with APAS and the Canadian Federation of Agriculture (CFA), he has been a lifelong volunteer, a strong voice for his community on numerous boards and working groups, and he continues to give back through his work as a municipal councillor.
In a social media post the Canadian Federation of Agriculture said it’s thrilled for its vice president.
