Agriculture Roundup for Tuesday April 28, 2020
Seeding has started in a few locations in southwest Saskatchewan.
Ministry of Agriculture crop extension specialist Shannon Chant said the seeders have been in the field for a couple days.
“Over the weekend there were a few producers going around Maple Creek,” Chant said. “Some just aren’t ready yet. Just north of Swift Current I saw a seeder pull into a field so there is a little seeding. There‘s been some questions about spraying so there is some pre-seed herbicide applications going on.”
Chant said producers will be starting with cereals and pulses.
