Riparian grazing and power fence field schools being hosted in central Alberta

The Grey Wooded Forage Association, with several community partners, are holding riparian grazing and power fence field schools later this month.

On June 22, the class is taking place east of Buck Lake, and then June 23 and 24 east of Blackfalds and west of Sundre, respectively. Two sessions are scheduled for each location, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. and 1:30-3:30 p.m.

Registration is limited and is available online at Eventbrite. The deadline is noon on June 18.

Registrants will also be eligible for prizes, including a grand prize worth $205, and others worth $50 for each of the six sessions.Further details about locations will be distributed after registration.

The event is outdoors so registrants are reminded to dress for the weather and be aware there are no washrooms. COVID rules will apply, including the need for your own mask and hand sanitizer, as well as snacks and beverages.

Event partners include Ellis Bird Farm, Mountain View County, Range Ward, Cows and Fish, and County of Wetaskiwin.
