Nine of 11 new COVID-19 cases arise in Far North region
The COVID-19 outbreak in the Far North region continues, as nine of the 11 new cases reported on Sunday arose in Saskatchewan’s most northern region.
The Saskatchewan Health Authority confirmed in a statement that three of those cases are in the La Loche area.
The Far North region now has 156 active cases, 119 more than any other region in the province. The Far North also has 193 total cases, which is also the most out of anywhere in the province.
The other two new cases that were confirmed on Sunday came from the North region, which has the second most active cases with 37.
