Wheat exports continue to rise amid market volatility.
The SaskWheat market outlook reported exports throughout the week were roughly 317,400 metric tonnes (mt). It’s still well below the 448,000 mt of weekly exports needed to reach Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s 18.2 million mt estimate. Total exports are now 9.69 million mt, which is 15 per cent less than last year.
Canadian producers delivered 142,800 mt of durum into the system during week 33 for a year-to-date total of 3.15 million mt, 15 per cent more than last year. Exports throughout the week were large at just under 185,000 for a season total of 3.15 million mt, 42 per cent more than last year.
The report also said COVID-19 will continue to dominate market attention.
