Agriculture Roundup for Tuesday March 10, 2020
Grain movement backlog and the carbon tax will be among the issues raised at the annual meeting of the Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities (SARM) this week in Regina.
SARM president Ray Orb said he hoped the federal government will provide some support for farmers who faced a tough harvest and a costly carbon tax on fuel used for drying grain.
He said there are still a lot of crops that are still out.
Roughly 2,000 rural municipal delegates are attending the convention.
